I thought I was going to die.... This has been THE WORST WEEK that I have ever ever had. Goodness. I'm exhausted! Bleh.

I started to notice that something was wrong last Tuesday. I'd been having fever na for the past three days before that but it was very low grade tas it came and went pa, so I thought nothing of it, really. I felt fine. My mom on the other hand, (who has more sense than me pala about these things. Note to self: Next time, LISTEN to her) was saying I better get tested na kasi baka I might have dengue. After all, she reasoned, I had been visiting James in the hospital and baka I might've gotten dengue from there (--wha? i know, right?) So anyway, I had midterms that Tuesday and I was hell-bent on taking my exam even though I saw lots of spots on my arm na. Ligo ako, bihis, pasok. WRONG. I arrived at school totally woozy and after my test Kitchie went with me to Cardinal to get checked.

I got my first blood test EVER. If you know me at all, you will know that I am SCARED WITLESS of needles. I was giving my name pa lang to the hospital lab guy, namumutla nako. Pero it was all good. Doesn't hurt that much pala. And Kitchie was there to hold my hand. This kinda gay-ish nurse person took 3 CCs of my blood. ANYWAY. My platelets were fine. But my white blood count was low (whatever that means) so they told me to come back the next day to get a blood test again. So I went home and got totally worse... I felt soooo bad. I was sure I was gonna get confined na the next day. Naghahanap nako ng pwedeng bumantay sakin sa ospital and all. Haha! SO I went back to Cardinal the next day (with a packed bag--excited! haha) pero same results lang. So they sent me home. And the next couple of days were like the worst of my life...

The rashes started coming out na and they were like the itchiest things ever! My hands and feet were red and totally swollen and it felt like a gazillion red ants were biting me from the inside. I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep for days on end--HORRIBLE. I had to take medicines just to be able to get a couple of hours of sleep. My tita who's a doctor gave me antibiotics and stuff...

Anyway, I feel much better now. I'm so glaad that it's over. Yahooie! :) Thank God no complications came about. I hear I could've gotten sick-er. Like blind-sick. Haha! People get blind over measles pala. Who knew? Sad that I missed sooo much over the past few days, though:

1. Sandy's Bday Party--sorry bro....
2. PE and LDSM midterms
3. Youth service--waaaah... really wanted to go pa naman
4. One2One gallore and small group--double waaaah!!
5. The youth women leaders party--THIS i hate missing the most!! arrrggh. all the pictures look like they had fun! gaah.

I'm concentrating on getting better and getting ready to catch up on a truckload of schoolwork (bring it!!) and fighting off EXTREME boredom. Have to stay home for a couple more days pa kasi. Thanks to Mom, Dad and Kitchie for all their support. And thanks to all who prayed that I wouldn't have dengue. (I don't! Prayer--it works! Should've prayed against measles din pala. Too late) Special thanks to Colynn and Sandy na tumawag pa sakin when they heard. Haha!

Moral of the story: listen to your mom. And DON'T force yourself to go to school when you've had fever for three days. And DON'T visit your friend at the hospital for four days straight and forget to take your vitamins. ANDDDD!!!! Get the measles when you're young. Hey. I should do that. Send me your young. I shall infect them... Mwahahaha!!
